People are always looking for the latest way to get in shape. Many people pay expensive monthly fees in order to join their local gyms, spending their time on treadmills or elliptical machines in the hopes of losing a few pounds from their waistline. For others, they find themselves chasing the latest fad or exercise program seen on an infomercial, thinking it will be the thing that will finally help them get healthy.

However, despite all the machines and programs that are out there, all people need to get in shape is a simple mini trampoline. A mini trampoline allows exercisers to do everything necessary to get into good cardiovascular shape while toning their bodies at the same time.

Of course, in order to reap the benefits of a mini trampoline, a person needs to be able to use it correctly. Unfortunately, many mini trampoline owners do not know the proper exercises that will allow themselves to fully utilize the apparatus. But with just a few exercises, a mini trampoline can be the ticket to a healthier body and a healthier lifestyle.

Many trampoline exercises often imitate other types of movements while using the benefits of the mini trampoline to reduce the stress and impact of those exercises. Perhaps, one of the most popular exercises is the simple jumping jack. To do this, simply start by putting your feet together and your hands by your side. Then, jump up while moving your feet apart and raising your hands above your head in a circular motion. Once you land, jump up again and return to the original starting position.

Another popular exercise on the mini trampoline is the cross trainer, designed to imitate cross country skiing machines. For this exercise, raise your hands in front of you while keeping your legs together. When you jump up, move one leg in front of you and the other leg behind you. While you are doing this, move one arm in towards your body while fully extending the other arm in front of you. And when you jump up again, reverse this process. The whole idea, of course, is to replicate the motion of a cross country skier.

Of course, cross country skiing is not the only movement you can replicate on the trampoline. Another popular movement is simply sprinting on the mini trampoline. The key to this exercise is to really pump your arms and legs as fast as possible to get the full aerobic benefit. Also, if you can, try to get those legs as high possible to make the exercise even more intense.

One thing many trampoline owners fail to appreciate is the fact that knowing how to exercise is just as important as knowing what exercises to do. The key to any cardiovascular exercise program is to sustain an increased heart rate over a period of time. This is done by sustaining an exercise for a period of time long enough to get the heart rate up. As well, it is very important to limit the amount of rest time between exercises. If you let your heart rate fall all the way down to its typical condition at rest, you will lose a lot of the benefit from the sustained exercise.

With these simple rules in place, the above mini trampoline exercises will get anyone in great shape in no time.
